Musicologist. Specializing in early 20th-century Russian art music.
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2015 (Graduation Thesis: "Nikolai Roslavets's 'Synthetic Chord'—Innovation and Tradition"). Received the Ataka Award during enrollment, and the Acanthus Music Award and Doseikai Award upon graduation.
Studied abroad at the Department of Russian Music History, Moscow Conservatory from December 2015 to March of the following year.
Completed the Master's Program in Musicology, Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017 (Master's Thesis: "Compositional Methods of 'Innovative Music' in Russia and the Soviet Union in the 1910s-20s—Regarding the 'Influence' of the Predecessor A. N. Scriabin"). Concurrently received the Graduate School Acanthus Award.
From 2017 to 2020, served as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellow (DC1, Research Project: "Reconsidering the 'Innovativeness' of 'Innovative Composers' in Early 20th-Century Russia: Identification of Predecessors and Examination of Influence").
Currently enrolled in the doctoral program at the same university and at the State Institute for Art Studies (Государственный институт искусствознания) in Russia. Conducts research activities based in Moscow.
Since September 2020, a scholarship recipient of the Rohm Music Foundation.
Member of the Musicological Society of Japan, the Japan Association of Russian Scholars, and the Russian Folklore Society.
