The piece is divided into C major and C minor, with the Trio section being in C minor. It is worth considering how to contrast these two keys. In the author's subjective analysis, C major in this context feels exceptionally powerful and high-tension. Therefore, I believe it may be appropriate to keep the C minor section somewhat subdued. The C minor section should be approached as an ensemble with a reduced number of instruments, and its dynamic level should be kept low. Although there is a modulation to E-flat major midway, the tension should not be significantly elevated here either. This approach will establish a clear contrast with the C major section.
The reason for the high tension in the C major section lies in the directional movement of the pitch. In the opening measures 1-4, the notes already ascend in stepwise motion. The left hand diverges from the right hand, and the dynamic level increases. Measures 5-6 ascend further, but as there is no accompaniment here, it should be conceived as a smaller ensemble group, and the volume should be restrained. Measures 7-8 then restore the dynamic level.
In measures 9-12, the tension escalates through two-measure sequences, with measure 13 serving as the peak point. At this juncture, the left hand plays in octaves, allowing for an increase in volume, evoking a tutti-like sonority.
