Koichi Hashimoto
Graduated from the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. He studied composition under Yoshio Hasegawa and Akira Kitamura, and piano under Misao Iwasaki. After graduation, while engaged in composition and arrangement for studio recordings and music publishing, he authored numerous instructional books and music collections to apply the essence of popular music gained from these experiences to piano education. He is a member of the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC). For the Step <Instructional Book Repertoire>, "Piano Textbook for Adults 1-3" and "You Can Play Piano! Junior 1-3" have been selected. For the <Popular Repertoire>, many pieces have been selected from works such as "I Still Love It! Piano Textbook," "Kids Can Play Jazz & Rock," and "Popular Piano Album" (all published by Doremi Music Publishing).
