Since repeated notes are present in the melodic line, playing at too fast a tempo will create a sense of pressure. It is advisable to play lightly at a comfortable, relaxed tempo.
This minuet also features octaves, and particular caution is required in these sections; ensure not to raise the volume too much. Especially with repeated notes, there is a possibility it may sound harsh.
The left hand is primarily played staccato, whereas the right hand has sections that are staccato (e.g., bar 13) and parts where legato playing is desired (bars 14, beats 1-2).
For example, in bar 14, legato can be achieved by taking the octave on the first beat with fingers 1-4, and the subsequent G and A with fingers 1-5. However, for those with small hands or children who cannot reach an octave with 1-4, it is advisable to briefly (truly for just an instant) use the pedal when transitioning between notes to avoid breaks.
The trio section varies considerably in terms of notes depending on the edition. Please check other editions and choose notes that appear reliable.
