This is the second movement, which can be considered an operatic aria. Therefore, it is better to play it improvisationally and expressively, but this must be done while maintaining rhythmic order. If the tempo is too slow, to the point where even 32nd notes move slowly, it becomes difficult to count longer notes, such as quarter notes and eighth notes, and one tends to lose the beat. In such situations, the technique of subdivision is useful, which essentially means thinking in terms of smaller divisions. For example, between the 3rd and 4th beats of measure 4, there are long notes: a quarter note and an eighth note. When sustaining the quarter note on the 3rd beat, mentally count this quarter note as four 16th notes. Do the same for the 4th beat.
Musically, the 3rd beat of measure 4 serves as a goal note in terms of direction, so it is acceptable to play it with a certain degree of tenuto. However, if you completely neglect counting, the note value may become excessively long, causing the listener to lose their count. The same applies to the quarter rest on the 4th beat of measure 8. While you could count it as two eighth notes, counting it as four 16th notes will likely allow for more accurate counting, so please try that. Overall, use the pedal generously (but within the bounds of clarity), and perform in a manner closer to the Romantic style.
