It primarily proceeds in three voices. The theme (subject) enters in stretto, and the number of voices gradually increases. The theme begins in measure 1, and the voice that already starts in measure 6, before the theme has fully concluded, is actually the alto, not the bass. This voice shifts from the lower staff to the upper staff in measure 13 (please note this). That is, the final note E-flat in measure 13 connects to D in measure 14. Concurrently, the bass voice begins for the first time in measure 14.
In the latter half, measure 27 begins with the alto, the bass starts in measure 28, and the soprano starts in measure 29. Please follow the voices correctly, and vary the timbre according to each voice.
Another characteristic feature of this Gigue lies in its long trills. For long trills written as in measures 3 and 4, at least five notes are desirable. Carefully observe and distinguish between the short and long trill sizes. When these long trills are executed beautifully, the piece sounds captivating.
