Composed in 1889, the Mazurka in F major is Mazurka in B minor a work from Scriabin's 17th year, composed around the same time as. This period coincided with his enrollment at the Moscow Conservatory in 1888, during which he also composed works such as Piano Sonata in E-flat minor and "Album Leaf for Monighetti."The mazurka, structured in a three-part form, begins with an impressive opening section featuring a lively triple meter rhythm and a right-hand melody that skillfully employs ascending and descending lines. The middle section modulates to D minor and includes passages with appoggiaturas, crescendos, and abrupt dynamics ranging from forte to ppp, which is characteristic of Scriabin's compositional technique. Furthermore, in the concluding section, the same material from the middle section reappears in the parallel minor, F minor, and quietly concludes with pppp.

Performance Tips
Although this piece is marked with the tempo indication "Vivace," focusing on "liveliness" rather than mere speed will allow you to grasp the essence of the work. The piece is structured in four-measure phrases, but ensure that the second and third beats of the triple meter never become heavy. From measure 57, begin with the dynamic marking PPP, extremely softly. An eight-measure phrase follows; use short slurs in the right hand to build dynamics so that the eighth measure becomes the climax.
