Entered Kunitachi College of Music as a first-generation student in the Jazz program, where she studied jazz piano under Makoto Ozone. She graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2018. At the Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition 2018, she achieved a significant breakthrough, being selected as one of seven finalists from over 160 participants across 13 countries, winning second prize and the Best Composition Award. Her performances have since garnered high acclaim, particularly in New York, the birthplace of jazz.
In 2020, she made her global debut with the album 'RINA,' which features all original compositions. This album subsequently received the 'Jazz Award' at the 13th CD Shop Awards 2021.
In June 2022, she was invited to the Rochester International Jazz Festival in the U.S., where her solo performance captivated the audience, leading to a standing ovation and incessant applause. A reporter commented, 'Rina's solo piano performance possesses a special ability to convey powerful emotions; her compositions blend jazz, classical, and Japanese sounds to create an unforgettable experience...'
Her second album, 'Transparent Blue,' is scheduled for release on May 17, 2023.
She maintains an active performance schedule nationwide, showcasing a wide range of styles including solo piano, duo, trio, and big band.
