Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the main course of Tokyo Academy of Music in 1908 (Meiji 41). From 1910 to 1916, they served as an assistant professor at the same institution, guiding younger generations. In addition to leaving behind numerous excellent children's songs such as "Akai Kutsu" (Red Shoes), "Jūgoya Otsukisan" (Fifteenth Night Moon), "Nanatsu no Ko" (Seven Children), and "Aoi Me no Ningyō" (Blue-Eyed Doll), they conducted nationwide concert tours with their daughters Midori and Wakaba, establishing the golden age of children's songs. The performances by the three sisters—eldest daughter Midori, second daughter Kimiko, and third daughter Wakaba—made a significant contribution to spreading children's songs nationwide.
