Album Description
Rocherolle's first all-Spanish album clearly depicts typical Spanish scenes and customs. The difficulty level is comparable to Czerny's Etudes Op. 299 (Czerny 30) to Op. 740 (Czerny 40). Rather than authentic Spanish music, it evokes the atmosphere of popular classics such as Agustín Lara's 'Granada' or Sebastián Iradier's 'La Paloma'. It possesses an unpretentious and straightforward charm. It is well-known that many Hispanic people with roots in Spanish-speaking Latin America reside in the United States, and Spanish and Latin music are deeply rooted in their daily lives. I believe this album reflects the needs of the American piano industry.
