Roche Roll has written numerous Christmas music collections with various themes. Over 30 years, he has published 11 collections for piano solo, 4 for piano duet, and also collections for chamber music (piano trio). This work is an album primarily featuring traditional Christmas carols, with the addition of classical-leaning popular numbers. While the arrangements generally have a sparse texture, they achieve a good balance between high and low registers, producing a simple and deeply moving sound. It can be enjoyed by both children and adults. "Satie's Noel" uses the left-hand accompaniment of Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 as is, while the right hand plays "The First Noel." Such playful touches are effortless for Roche Roll. The difficulty level ranges from Burgmüller to Czerny 30.
