After a gently descending melodic figure, reminiscent of wind rustling through trees, is repeated twice with superimposed sounds in a canonic style, a flowing, beautiful melody unfolds, sung in an interplay. The change in major-mode coloration observed in the final interplay is fantastical and beautiful. The piece concludes as if fading away. The standard performance time is approximately two minutes.
