In A major, in binary form.
A [a (measures 1-4) + a1 (measures 5-8)]
B [b (measures 9-12) + a (measures 13-16)]
For the first three measures, a tonic pedal point continues, and combined with the quarter-note and eighth-note motif movement in the right-hand melody, there is an atmosphere like a gently swaying cradle. From section B, it becomes a sequence, descending chromatically. At this point, one should aim to express it while being mindful of the harmonic progression of the sequence. From measure 13, it returns to the theme, concluding in measure 15 after passing through a double dominant of a secondary dominant chord.
