This album is a collection of pieces arranged for piano four-hands, featuring four traditional Christmas carols along with three original carols by Dello Joio. The original carols are so simple and rich in warm flavor that one might mistake them for traditional carols. Versions for mixed choir (with orchestral or piano accompaniment) are also available.Hindemith gained high acclaim for his serious classical works, while also demonstrating a wide range of styles, including winning an Emmy Award (1965) for his music for a television program (NBC's "Louvre").
