A work inspired by legends surrounding the lily-of-the-valley, passed down in Europe.

In France, there is a custom called "Lily-of-the-Valley Day" (Jour de Muguet) on May 1st, where people give lily-of-the-valley flowers to loved ones to wish for their happiness. Furthermore, in Europe, due to its shape, the flower is referred to as "Tears of the Virgin Mary" and is cherished as one of the important flowers. The first half of the piece expresses this sacred image of the lily-of-the-valley. The latter half of the piece is a musical depiction of the legend of Saint Leonard, guardian of the forest, who engaged in a fierce battle with a great serpent. According to the legend, after defeating the great serpent, Saint Leonard suffered severe wounds and collapsed. It is said that from the pools of blood that flowed onto the ground where he lay, lily-of-the-valley flowers bloomed profusely, healing his wounds.

The work was premiered by the composer themselves in June 2019 at Yumetaro Plaza Hibiki Hall in Aichi Prefecture.
