This is a final movement that should be played with great vivacity. While the term "Vivace" is often mistakenly understood to mean "fast," its accurate Italian translation is "lively" or "vivacious." This movement is characterized by a high frequency of sequences, which are also extended, potentially making it challenging to gradually modulate their dynamics. For example, an ascending sequence begins at measure 12 and continues to ascend until measure 20. Consequently, it is advisable to significantly reduce the volume around measures 10-11, planning to commence at pp from measure 12.
Subsequently, sequences appear continuously. Each sequence invariably concludes with a cadence. The paramount consideration in this movement is to prevent the dynamics from becoming flat or undifferentiated.
In terms of the piece's character, it should be regarded as an optimistic, joyful, and vibrant final movement, rather than one conveying seriousness or sadness.
