Can Can (Composed 1994)
Tango (Completed Autumn 2005)
As expected from Russia, a country where figure skating thrives, the original pieces were composed as ice ballet music and achieved great success worldwide. Subsequently, "To be a Pig or not to be a Baby" and "Can Can" were composed from this suite for "modern piano duo" and gained new recognition through CD recordings. Then, in March 2005, Rosenblatt and Sinkin's debut performance in Japan offered an enjoyable performance. After the concert, at the author's request, Rosenblatt composed the third piece of the suite, "Tango" (commonly known as "Aristango" – a name Rosenblatt uses to distinguish it from other tangos). This piece was dedicated to the piano unit "Psychedelic-za" (Psychedelic Theatre) by the author and Hirofumi Uematsu. Its world premiere is planned by "Psychedelic-za".
