This is a contrapuntal barcarolle imbued with a melancholic atmosphere. Ensure that the dotted rhythm does not become too rigid. This dotted motif primarily consists of stepwise motion, though occasional leaps occur. Express its movement as if undulating waves are causing a boat to sway significantly. The phrases in the left and right hands alternate in their leading role: sometimes the left hand precedes the right, as at the beginning, and at other times the right hand precedes the left, such as from the anacrusis to measure 5. Furthermore, the phrasing encompasses both long and very short gestures. Perceive the diverse aspects of the waves depicted by these elements. From measure 11, a crescendo builds in an ascending line, leading to a significant leap in the left hand and culminating in a forte climax. Intense emotions appear to be portrayed. Subsequently, a sense of calm gradually returns, and from measure 19, the melancholic original theme re-enters in the right hand. I believe this work portrays the inner emotional landscape of a person, alongside its depiction of waves and a deserted small boat.
