A Waltz in E minor, composed in 1830 and published posthumously in 1868. No tempo indication is found at the beginning of the piece. It is in ternary form with an 8-bar introduction. The entire piece is characterized by a rich pianistic idiom, and in terms of both scale and content, it is comparable to Chopin's other works published during his lifetime.

The main section prominently displays a virtuosic character, creating a lively, almost bouncing atmosphere. In contrast, the middle section shifts to E major and is marked "dolce," characterized by long, sustained phrases and ascending figures from the bass in the left hand.
