The score of this work was first published in the magazine "Ginzara", which contained the composer's preface as follows: "On a quiet autumn day—when all things ripen—under a brightly clear blue sky, when the whole world celebrates and rejoices in the joy of harvest—from somewhere, and for some reason, unspeakable tears, unspeakable tears well up, do they not?
