Since the piece itself is short, learners should first try playing each of the two voices separately. It is also clearer to insert 'breaths' (pauses/articulations) even in places other than rests, such as where one feels the end or beginning of a phrase, and to divide the piece into several phrases, compared to playing it without any breaks. The theme (subject) modulates to G major, C major, and D major; therefore, choose appropriate dynamics and tone qualities considering these keys. Of course, there are no strict rules, so feel free to interpret.
From here on, these are the author's personal views (preferences), but I believe setting the tempo to around Moderato is appropriate. While I don't particularly feel there's a peak point in this piece, when observing the continuous eighth notes, the eighth notes starting from the third beat of measure 14 continue until the second beat of measure 17, totaling 22 consecutive notes, making this the section with the most continuous eighth notes. Considering this fact, one might gradually increase the volume of the eighth notes, leading to the final cadence in measure 18 as the peak.
