This slow movement, characterized by its free, fantasia-like nature, adopts a rondo-like structure where the theme recurs multiple times.

The theme, distinguished by its extended trills and chromatic ascending figures, recurs a total of three times thereafter, with the first and third recurrences appearing after cadenza-like passages. The insertion of such cadenza passages, as seen in Op. 27, underscores the "fantasia-like" character of this movement.
