Since this is a courante in 3/4 time, it is an Italian-style courante. As it is an Italian-style courante, please play it at a fast tempo.
Since the bass clef part moves in almost two voices, you may imagine string instruments, etc.
If you imagine string instruments, etc., both the melody and accompaniment parts (although certainly polyphonic, the melody line is undoubtedly in the treble clef) may proceed smoothly with legato lines; however, if the preceding Allemande was sung smoothly with legato, the author believes that the Courante may be played with a bit more dynamism to create contrast.
By using light staccato and articulating short notes such as the eighth notes in the melody line or the quarter notes in the bass clef part, a lively feeling emerges. Since the piece is consistently optimistic, please perform it elegantly and joyfully.
