Movement 3: Minuet in F minor – Trio in F major, 3/4 time

Although a typical minuet with a trio and da capo, its key is F minor, the same as the first movement. Somber sonorities based on sixths (and thirds) are juxtaposed with forceful unisons.

The Trio modulates to F major, the parallel major, and features a repeated musical idea employing somewhat free invertible counterpoint in two and three voices.
