This Allemande consists of nine measures each for both the first and second halves, rather than eight. It does not particularly feature high tension; a smooth, flowing horizontal performance is desirable. However, various changes in timbre are also desired, so please vary the tone color according to the key.
The first half is in C major. A cadence occurs on the first beat of measure 5. From there, F becomes sharp, modulating to G major, and after reaching the peak point of the first half on the first beat of measure 7, it declines, concluding with a G major cadence in measure 9.
The second half. In measure 12, it modulates to A minor, and an A minor cadence occurs on the third beat of measure 12. In measure 13, it modulates to D minor, reaching a D minor Picardy third on the third beat, after which, although B and F-sharp appear, it fundamentally concludes in C major.
The flow of keys is C major → G major → A minor → D minor → C major. In this case, it is effective to set C major as the key with the softest timbre and increase the tension in the other keys.
