This piece is an experiment that replaces the bell sounds in the theme song of NHK's "Nodojiman" (composed by Kunihiko Suzuki) with bell expressions based on Olivier Messiaen's "modes of limited transposition". It is structured by collaging elements from the 13th piece, "Noël", of Messiaen's Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus, into "Nodojiman". The title is a parody of Messiaen's early piano piece, Pièce pour le Tombeau de Paul Dukas. It was created in 2014 as an adaptation of In Praise of Kunihiko Suzuki, which was published in 2010, commissioned by pianist Hiroaki Ooi.
