This Courante contains a considerable number of trills and ornaments, suggesting that an overly fast tempo would not be suitable. If the tempo were too fast, for instance, bar 15 would become quite challenging. Perhaps a tempo around quarter note = 100 would be appropriate.
The piece consistently remains predominantly in B minor, with all sections being in B minor except for the parts that modulate to D major.
Regarding the character of the piece, it is by no means a serious work; try to express the joy of being aware of the ensemble. For example, in the sequence starting from bar 4, the left hand plays a scale in bar 4, then the right hand in bar 6, the left hand in bar 7, and the right hand in bar 8, creating a sense of two instruments playing alternately.
In the latter half, in the sequence starting from bar 31, two instruments proceed in tenths, a third instrument appears in the left hand in bar 32, then two instruments again in bar 33, and the left-hand instrument in bar 34. By being aware of this ensemble interplay, the piece becomes more enjoyable.
