The Little Negro / Le petit nègre

The cakewalk is a dance step characteristic of Black people. They compete in cakewalks to receive confectionery prizes. This piece is a sibling version of "Golliwogg's Cakewalk" from Children's Corner. It has an A-B-A-B-A form and is an easy piece suitable for beginners.

It was included in the "Elementary Piano Method (1909)" edited by Théodore Lack.

Writer: Wada, Mayuko
